This role is based south of the bridge, making it ideal for candidates in the surrounding areas and outer South-West Suburbs.

The Role
As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the full financial function of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. Reporting directly to the Dealer Principal, this role is pivotal in maintaining financial health and supporting business growth.
This role is based south of the bridge, making it ideal for candidates in the surrounding areas and outer South-West Suburbs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation regulations, and corporate policies.
- Monitor cash flow, financial risks, and cost control measures to optimise financial performance.
- Supervise and mentor a finance team of up to 20 staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with department managers to improve financial efficiency and profitability.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions as required.
- A qualified accountant (CA/CPA) with experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Experience in the automotive industry or dealership environment essential
- Proven ability to manage financial operations and drive strategic financial initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial management systems and ERP software.
