About the company
Our client operates an iconic automotive dealership with multiple premium brands in Sydney, Australia. They're a corporate-based entity with a reputation for being one of the leading operators in their space. Their business interests also include entities outside of the typical dealership/retail automotive sector. They operate a reasonably flat leadership structure that directly connects their team to the key stakeholders both up and down the org chart.
About the role
Our client is looking for an inspirational leader with a solid background in Parts management. The role requires someone who can challenge, motivate, coach, and mentor their department across external and internal customer service/sales, logistics and warehousing, and internal workshop operations assisting them in achieving results and driving best practice standards and processes. We are looking for a high-energy leader with solid business acumen and experience running larger headcounts. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow with the organisation as their skillset expands.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Hands-on coaching and mentoring of team members supported by a strong Assistant Parts Manager
  • Full HR accountability of up to 11 team members (Recruitment, Performance Management, and development) across all facets
  • Full financial accountability of the Parts department areas
  • Confident and approachable to OEM partners
  • Must put their staff first to build long-standing employees
Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in automotive dealerships operations essential
  • Must have Parts Manager experience
  • Strong leadership skills leading managers and team members alike. 
  • Experience and a strong focus on customer metrics
  • Exceptional KPI awareness and strong business acumen

Remuneration for the role is commensurate with the position and would situate potential earnings within the expected band of on-target earnings, approximately $150,000 OTE + Super + FMCV.
